Lake Champlain and NYS Lighthouses

In this class you will learn how to produce basic lighthouses. You'll learn entry watercolor painting techniques; color and mixing, palette preparation, painting value studies, brush work and  paper preparation to develop your painting confidence in this very flexible art medium. Bryan Briscoe, community art instructor, will provide easy class demonstrations. Come paint with us!

Demonstration: Valcour Lighthouse
Objective: Students will learn how to use beginning watercolor techniques effectively

In this class you will learn how to use effective watercolor painting techniques to learn how to produce original watercolor paintings. I will teach you how to paint with using entry and basic techniques to help you develop confident watercolor painting skills. Bryan Briscoe, community art instructor, will provide easy class demonstrations. Come paint with us!

2019 - Acrylic Painting and Techniques

Working with Nature and Flowers in Acrylic Painting Studies

In this basic acrylic painting and techniques class students will learn how to prepare a canvas panel for painting application; color theory and access their results after working with paint mediums. Your on-going lessons will also employ basic color key and intensive color mixing work to help you understand the painting process. Come learn, enjoy and engaging with other artists and crafters. Bryan Briscoe, community art instructor, will provide easy class demonstrations.
